Magic is one of the most intriguing, inexplicable, and entertaining forms of the performing arts. People of all ages and backgrounds are amazed and fascinated by the wonderments of illusion, and yet it is primarily the magician and not the magic itself that we remember. Such is the case with Timm Metivier. His charming personality, skillful manipulation, and warm comedic delivery leaves people wanting more and more. For Timm, the opportunity to touch people’s lives is what he lives for.

, Timm has always been interested in magic. “I think all boys go through a magic stage in their lives”, say Timm. “I was fortunate enough to turn it into a profession.” Timm’s first chance at fulfilling his dream as a professional entertainer came when he was hired at Malone’s Magic Bar at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. “Malone’s was a great training ground. It was a real challenge to perform alongside other magicians. When people see one, two, or even three magicians in one night, then you’d better be good!” Well, Timm proved himself as one for the resident magicians at Malone’s for almost two years before venturing out into the world of corporate entertainment.
For almost ten years, Timm was employed as an air traffic controller for the FAA. “Being an air traffic controller was a great experience, yet I had a longing to pursue my dream.” Due to the increasing demand of corporate clients, Timm decided to resign his position with the FAA to become a full-time entertainer. “I feel I’ve found my calling in life; I know I’ve made the right decision.”
Soon after leaving the FAA, Timm was hired by the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit to be part of its’ program at Miami Children’s Hospital. “The training I received to become a ‘professional clown’ has proven invaluable to my career. I also enjoy the benefit of being able to establish relationships with some very special children.”
Timm also was able to expand his repertoire of juggling, improve comedy, and magic at Walt Disney World. From 2000 – 2001, Timm performed in over 1000 shows in the incredibly fun “Wonders of Laugh”.
Timm was also fortunate enough to spend almost four years in England working at the premier family resort in
the country. He also traveled around the Southwest of England performing his magical cabaret to well received
crowds.
Towards the end of 2001, Timm left Disney to pursue the world of cruise ship entertainment. Since then, Timm has become a premier entertainer for many of the major cruise lines and has performed for thousands of people from all over the world.
